Project Sakinah's Columbus Team

Welcome to our home!

Here we are working together to protect our children and families from gangs, sex-trafficking, neglect, abuse and broken homes. We are organizing programs and workshops that would strengthen our families and enable our individuals to nurture healthy relationships. Our focus is on growing stronger Muslim families in the greater Columbus area.

We call upon the entire community to join hands with us. It's time to Wake Up, Speak Up and Team Up.

Secure the Youth Conference

Alhumdulillah on June 14th, 2014, Project Sakinah Columbus hosted a historic conference about Muslim youth matters for the first time in Columbus, Ohio. There was a great range of speakers, including Chief Douglas Francis of Hilliard Police and Ignacio Delgado of Franklin County Children Services, and topics ranging from effective parenting, child abuse, foster care, youth mentoring and more. Each session and speaker was evaluated by attendees through small surveys and all received phenomenal feedback, scoring 4 or 5 on a scale of 1-5. Generally the sessions were regarded as "informative" and "very good and useful". All the attendees were engaged, brought up great discussion points, and left with a better understanding of the serious challenges Muslim youth face and how they as adults can help. InshaAllah this was just the beginning of greater efforts to protect our youth and build stronger families.
